EcoVista is excited to announce a new partnership with Q Sustain, an independent, award-winning specialist consultancy to the construction industry. Together, we have developed CarbonTrack, an advanced app that allows clients to monitor and manage embodied carbon emissions on site, and VistaTrack to monitor and manage Operational Carbon once the site goes live.
CarbonTrack meticulously tracks various activities, including vehicle movements, material deliveries, and machinery operations, allowing us to accurately measure and record embodied carbon emissions in real-time. This data is then seamlessly integrated into a comprehensive dashboard, presenting clients with clear and actionable insights in kgCO2e units. The intuitive interface, complete with charts and graphs, empowers clients to easily interpret and analyse the data, facilitating informed decision-making regarding emission reduction strategies and carbon offset initiatives.
Embodied Carbon Reporting in Action – Watch the Case Study
Watch our project at Southend-on-Sea, where we recently completed a large-format Digital Out-Of-Home (DOOH) installation featuring embodied carbon tracking.
Thanks to CarbonTrack, it was calculated that the complete embodied emissions for the Southend-on-Sea project were equivalent to 27 tonnes of CO2e – the same as 27 return flights from London to New York. With this information, the client was able to implement targeted emission reduction strategies and carbon offset initiatives, significantly enhancing the sustainability of the project.
Industry Insights from Q Sustain
Azhar Quaiyoom, Founder and Managing Director at Q Sustain, said:
“The construction industry and built environment have long focused on operational carbon but often overlook emissions related to other life cycle stages of building products, materials, and equipment.
It is often found that as much as half of the life cycle carbon emissions from buildings and construction projects come from embodied sources, including the manufacturing of materials and the construction processes involved in creating a product.
We must embrace whole-life carbon emissions and educate our clients on the importance of this.”
EcoVista’s Commitment to Sustainability
Sean Morrough, Managing Partner at EcoVista, added:
“Our partnership with Q Sustain has enabled EcoVista to develop a robust platform that provides our clients across multiple sectors with truly valuable data to deliver on carbon offset and carbon reduction initiatives.
This means that every project we deliver for our clients will be even greener as we strive to reduce and eliminate carbon emissions where possible, supported by a robust, auditable reporting platform that will enable carbon offset and reduction throughout the lifetime of the LED displays we deliver.”
Over the past 12 months, EcoVista has delivered multiple large-format digital out-of-home projects in partnership with Q Sustain. Our VistaTrack platform has been rolled out across multiple sites in the UK.
